Our next breakfast meeting of the Tampa Cohousing interest group will meet at the IHOP on Morris Bridge and Fowler Ave at 8:30 am on Sunday, Feb 4, 2018.
Marla is continuing to attempt contact of the surrounding property owners to nail down which properties we might be able to purchase sooner than later.
We discussed the models of ownership, and it seems with our level of knowledge, a Condominium form of ownership would be most understandable to all. Marla has posted more information about all of the different forms on this website. We also might use one form of ownership to acquire the property (LLC? or Trust?) as we continue with the development and form a condominium association to build.
We will not pursue UUCT ownership at this time, as this is too much new knowledge and work to put onto the limited staff and volunteers at this time. We will still follow UU values as we form our housing community. Perhaps someday, the church will be offered ownership.
